I do believe that, that which is intensely personal is also universal. I’m thinking of human existence and experience. I suppose it is through this thought that I hope my images could have meaning for others

That I Loved is produced by crawling around the garden with a Mamiya 6x7 and looking for the meaning of life. The series of images which feature plants in the varying stages of life, engage with mixed metaphors and abstractions in an attempt to make the human condition bearable.
The series' title That I loved, reflects a sense of luck. It is about the ability to look back and see meaning and purpose through love for others and moments of exquisite beauty as we begin, bloom and decay.
